英文文摘 | By investigation, Wang Shi, style name Zhogn Gong, a famous doctor of
the
Northern Song Dynasty, was from Xuzhou (today Xuchang, Henan), his hometown
being Jingzhaowangnian (present Xian, Shanxi Province). He held the posts of
Taishou, Jiancheng and Wailang. His medical knowledge was mainly obtained by
self-study and by excanging with some famous doctors as Lou Changzi and
others. It is somewhat impossible that he was a pupil of Pang Anshi's. Wang
Shi wrote three volumes of Shang Hn Lun Zhi (Treatise on Differential
Treatment of Febrile Diseases), a volume of Jiu Fang Xu Tian Shang Han Zheng
Zhi (Supplementary Prescriptions to Differential Treatment of Febrile
Diseases) and several volumes of Shang Han Zhi Yao (Chief Principles of
Treatment of Febrile Diseases), but it is pity that all of them are missing.
